The mission of the Goodwill Fire Co. No.1 of Washington Boro shall be the preservation and protection of life and property for the citizens of Manor Township and surrounding communities during fire, river rescues, floods, storms, national disasters, vehicle accidents and medical emergencies, through an innovative and continuing education training program and professional application of fire and rescue techniques. |

Boat Assists with Car into the River |

On 13 June 10 at approx. 0900 hrs. Squad and Boat 781 were dispatched to assist Comapny 76 (West Hempfield) with a reported Waster Rescue just south of the 462 bridge in front of the Columbia Water Co. Police Department on the scene advised that they had a car into the water unknown if it is occupied. 78 Units arrived and assisted other the other boats with securing the vehicle to land and a primary search of the vehicle. Crews were unable to verify if it was occupied. Once set-up the tow company removed the vehicle from the water and it was then verified to be unooccupied. Once all boats were off the water, Command was terminated and all units returned. |
