The mission of the Goodwill Fire Co. No.1 of Washington Boro shall be the preservation and protection of life and property for the citizens of Manor Township and surrounding communities during fire, river rescues, floods, storms, national disasters, vehicle accidents and medical emergencies, through an innovative and continuing education training program and professional application of fire and rescue techniques. |

Early morning assist with Station 7-9 on the Susquahanna River |

Dispatched to assist Co. 7-9 with a water rescue. Boat 7-8-2 was instructed to respond to the Robert Maver boat launch in Marietta Boro and meet up with Deputy 7-9. Once on scene Dep. 7-9 advised they had multiple individuals located on an island but still one male in a green kayak unaccounted for. Boat 7-8-2 launched and searched the Lanc. Co. shoreline heading south towards Columbia. During our search operations relayed that the individual had been located and all units could return. While waiting for the rest of the boats to return to the launch boat 7-8-2 was assigned to RIT. Once all boats were back and on land Station 7-8 crews were released and returned w/o further incident. |
