The mission of the Goodwill Fire Co. No.1 of Washington Boro shall be the preservation and protection of life and property for the citizens of Manor Township and surrounding communities during fire, river rescues, floods, storms, national disasters, vehicle accidents and medical emergencies, through an innovative and continuing education training program and professional application of fire and rescue techniques. |

On Friday November 27 station 7-8 and 8-4 were dispatched for a vehicle fire on Donegal St. Chief 7-8-1 (S.Broome) responded with information of possible impingement on a structure. Upon his arrival he found two vehicles with both engine compartments involved, soon after his arrival engine 7-8-2 dropped a supply line from the intersection of Schultz Rd and Donegal St to the scene. Both crews from 7-8 and 4-8 began fire attack, tanker 7-8-1 then arrived and supplied the engine crews. The fire was knocked down with out incident and all units were returned safe. |
