Working Vehicle in the First Due |

On 23 Jan 10 at 1028 hrs. Company 78 was alerted to Water St. at Penn St. for a Vehicle. Capt. 78 arrived to find a pick-up truck in the intersection with a working engine compartment fire, inpinging upon the passenger area. Command requested an additional engine and tanker to the assignment. Engine 781 and Tanker 781 arrived minutes later and deployed a handline to extinguish the fire. Command 78 recalled the additional tanker and had Engine 841 continue in to assist with mop up. Units remained on scene for approx. 30 min. before returning to service. |
